Adam Karkowsky

Chairman and CEO

 
Adam Karkowsky is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ANV, bringing over a decade of leadership experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Prior to assuming this role, Adam joined AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. in 2011 and advanced through key leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategic Development and Mergers & Acquisitions. In December 2019, Adam was appointed President and has served on the AmTrust Board of Directors since January 2019.

Throughout his tenure, Adam has played a pivotal role in driving strategic growth, overseeing complex transactions, and strengthening operational performance. His deep expertise in finance, corporate strategy, and governance positions him as a visionary leader committed to innovation and long-term success.



Joseph Brecher

Chief Financial Officer


Joseph Brecher is the Chief Financial Officer for ANV, bringing deep expertise in finance, investment strategy, and corporate development. Prior to assuming this role, Joseph led Alternative Investments at AmTrust, where he managed a diverse portfolio across a variety investment strategy.  Since joining AmTrust in 2015, he has held several senior roles, including Co-Head of Strategic Development and Mergers & Acquisitions and Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.
 
Joseph holds an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business.


Jacob Decter

Chief Operating Officer


Jacob Decter is the Chief Operating Officer for ANV, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, M&A, and operational excellence. Previously, Jacob held the position of Chief Strategy Officer for Global Fee Businesses and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Development at AmTrust. In these roles, Jacob spearheaded transformative initiatives and acquisitions that drove growth, improved efficiency, and fostered innovation across multiple business units.
 
Jacob earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.


Aaron Basilius
Head of MGAs, US


Aaron Basilius is the Head of MGAs, US and brings broad commercial and technical experience to ANV.  Previously, Aaron led the cyber, technology, and crime insurance lines of business for AmTrust. Prior to AmTrust, Aaron held senior roles at Munich Re and Beazley Group. His diverse background in insurance, law, and business helps ANV navigate complex risk landscapes and provide innovative solutions and structures to its clients and partners.

Aaron began his career at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, CA as a corporate attorney and advisor to technology companies. He holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
